Ruby on Rails Developer - Parksville, BC

Bravenet is currently seeking software developers to join our team. More specifically you will join the portion of the team that develops the client facing user interface.

The position being offered is a full-time salaried position that requires you to be on-site at our office in Parksville, British Columbia, Canada. Parksville is centrally located on the sheltered coast of Vancouver Island. We are in the heart of great surfing, climbing, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, sandy beach country. The perfect place for any outdoor enthusiast.

Job Duties:

• Designing, developing and maintaining our front facing adserving client interface.
• Writing easy to read and maintainable code.
• Planning and discussing new feature requirements in a team environment.
• Building dashboards, charts, graphs and other visual analytic tools.
• Design and maintenance of reporting APIs.
• Maintain overall layout and UI design.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experienced in Ruby on Rails and Ruby in general.
• Experienced in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Serious about user experience and UI design.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Experience with distributed version control (we are using git).
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
